Northern Lights 60 by ragnaice Northern Lights 60 by ragnaice
Reykjavik, Iceland. 13.1.2013. The lights came out good but the lower half was too dark so I tried making it lighter in Gimp but I'm not good at making straight lines but eh, well. Not too bad I hope.

Do you just see these events by chance or is there like a northern lights forecast that you look up on the internet? :D
Love this shot!

Sometimes it's by chance but there are weather forecast sites I can look up to see the aurora activity and the level of cloudiness (which I had done last night). This one for example: [link] These things are hardly ever completely accurate though so I just have to go out of the house and look at the sky for good measure.

Beautiful!

Holding the shift key while making your line keeps it straight in most programs btw, if that's what you mean=D

Thanks and for the tip also, but I'm not sure it works when I'm using a dodging tool manually...or maybe I'm doing it wrong

Only requires that you give a bit of money for a plane ticket :D
