Amazing! Seeing the Northern Lights is on my bucket list

Are they frequent? I heard that the best time to see them is between September and March. Do they appear on a daily basis or once every couple of days? Do they last long or just a few minutes?
Sorry for all the questions but I do hope to visit Iceland someday

Yes, between these months because then it's dark. Their appearance depends on the sun (solar storms or something, I'm not quite in on the scientific side but I use this site to keep watch on aurora forecasts: [link]), and of course on the weather. They can last pretty long, some hours though sometimes they come in bursts over that time

I hope you will visit Iceland someday, I know about tourist services that specialize in aurora tours

Thanks a lot for answering. I know that website, I came across it a while ago and I bookmarked it just in case I'll need it someday

. Hopefully I will *fingers crossed*.
I know about the Aurora tours, but I saw that it can be visible from Reykjavik as well. Oh well, I'll worry about that when the time comes
