Nesting

Back from the inactivity of the summer! This is a picture from this spring of an eider duck on her nest. The eider ducks lay their nests in little islands which belong to my family and we pick their down which we sell as stuffing for pillows and winterwear and such, and instead we try to make the birds comfortable and keep predators away from them.
