Landslides

Re-uploaded because of some weird error in my gallery...

In 'The Valleys' in western Iceland. This place is called Skriðuland (Landslide Land) ...for a good reason.

Actually this exact spot may be called something else but Skriðuland is not far away, I don't know if the two places are on the same property.

I originally posted this in color but I've come to like the b/w version more, even though it's not quite eerie enough in my opinion. I'm awaiting my chance to drive by the place in a cloudy, dark weather...

So for now just imagine being there, a hundred years ago, in complete darkness in the middle of winter with the wind howling outside.
Ok, I have no idea for what that old shack was used - or how old it is - but I hope no people or animals resided there... what a place to put a house...
